Women usually prefer a well-designed pair of shoes and the one that makes a style statement. However, athletic shoes are not always only about design.

They are primarily about the comfort and the protection of the feet during workouts, athletic activities and playing a sport.

Workout routine mainly consists of walking, running, sports, and gym exercises. A correct pair of athletic shoes is mandatory for such activities. That`s why when buying women`s athletic shoes for multiple uses, you should also consider what activities you`ll need the footwear for.

  1. Women’s athletic shoes are considerably different from shoes for men, primarily because there are physiological differences in the structure of men’s feet and women’s feet. Women’s feet tend to be narrower with arched curves when compared to those of men.https://amzn.to/2SMbqra

Athletic shoes are, therefore, specifically designed for different genders, considering the specific requirement of the feet of that gender for activities mentioned above.

  1. Shoe Safety

The feet are one of the fragile parts of the body. They need to be saved from injuries that are likely during any athletic activities. Women’s athletic shoes should, therefore, have required protection built-in.

Usually, women’s feet are inclined to roll inwards, which is also known as overpronating. But there are women who tend to use outside edge more. Such a tendency is referred to as over-supinate.

Women’s athletic shoes should be flexible to ensure better coordination and quick “heel-to-toe” rolling movements” while simultaneously providing the solution to specific tendencies of the person wearing the shoes.

The women that are inclined to overpronate, should opt for athletic shoes that control motion and offer stability. Unlike them, women inclined to over-supinate would require shoes with cushions.women's athletic shoes for running, sports, gym, playing tennis or for cross training.

 2.Shoe Comfort

Comfort in shoes come in many ways, even simple things as color may make you feel uncomfortable with your shoes.

Comfort in the shoes can be associated with

  • The size of the shoes.

Watch out! Different brands have different shoe sizes, and each of these sizes may represent different measurements. Go by measurements rather than sizes.
Keep a margin for socks, and swelling of feet during the daytime.

Ideally, shop during the evenings as then you would find shoes that fit snugly. Experts advise that a half inch gap between toe and shoe’s end would be comfortable.

The shape or design of the shoes.

• The weight of the shoes. Ideally, shoes that are lighter are preferred.

• Cushioning within the shoes for absorbing shocks and impacts.

• The material of the shoes. The material should be light and breathable preventing perspiration within. If the athletic shoes are to be used in climates such as rains, then the outer part of the shoes should be able to withstand it;

Well-fitting shoes with required features are essential for preventing injuries.

  •  Shoe Grip

Grip requirement varies from one sport to another, and one athletic game to another. The shoe should be selected as per the specific athletic game which will also make them suitable for relevant surfaces.

Traction is crucial in sports like tennis, whereas in football, a better grip is offered by the cleats on the sole.

  • Shoe Durability

The materials used to make women’s athletic shoes are important and so are the technologies integrated into them. The shoes should not break while executing any athletic movement, or crack during any climate.

They should also be able to withstand the stress and strain they are subjected to on the surface used for the game.

  • Shoe Looks

Women are conscious about looks and would like their shoes to look good too.

  • Shoe Costs

It cannot be denied that costs do affect final decision on which brand to buy and which not to buy out of final.

Naturally, it is a tall order, but in real life shops, these shoes can be tried. They may seem a tad expensive, but the plus point is there would be experienced personnel to help with selecting the right type of shoes.

That does not mean that women can’t buy shoes online. A greater focus on features and measurement would be needed for that.

Specific Athletic shoes:

Athletic shoes these days are fine tuned for the specific activity. Therefore, shoes suitable for walking are different from those used for running, or for playing tennis.
Some of the usages do overlap, but the main purpose cannot be compromised.

You would have to be sure whether you want to use women`s athletic shoes for cross-training, jogging, running, or walking to purchase the right athletic shoe. The brand has nothing to do with it.

  1. Ah, very nice. I have always thought that one will need to get a different shoe for the different sports that one wants to engage on. I didn’t know that the truth is that reverse is the case. I will very much like to get myself a very good shoe that I will be able to make use of when I run and when i want to tennis as well and I can see what I want here. Thank you!

    1. thanks for stopping by, unless you`re a professional, you do not always need specific shoes for each activity you undertake.

For example, tennis shoes used to play in the sand by professionals is not the same pair of shoes they`ll use for grass-court tennis, but for people playing just for the fun of it, a pair of tennis shoes will be good enough for any surface.

Having said that, even multi-purpose sneakers will not be suitable for everything, you can`t go hiking in each and every sneaker just because it`s multi use.

  2. Oh, I see that there are some shies that actually can work for many different functions and that here is very good and I also like the fact that you could come up with different uses for the shoes. My girlfriend loves to run and also likes to play basketball too. Do you think there is any shoe that will fit in for those two purposes?

    1. As said in the post, these are multiple uses shoes,I`m assuming she`s not playing professional basketball so any of the shoes will do.
